Sound won't turn off.

I had noticed that at times a sound repeats, and even when I log off, it keeps playing, until I kill the Salem The Game app. Even after THAT sometimes, but rarely. But I played since July as a hermit.
Just joined a town, and when I reported that in town chat, another player said it was funny, that each sound I described was something HE had just done, but I was nowhere near him (other side of the town).
So it seems that my game can pick up a sound by proximity, but leaving the proximity does not reliably turn OFF the sound. I'm now also wondering if part of the "proximity" is due to the fact that we were both chatting in the on-screen town chat?
(Approximate frequency of occurrence, once every few days. If it's a "benign" sound, then I can just ignore it. But something like the "cart" sound, causes me to exit game, until sound is gone.)

It happens to me rarely when someone else is cart pulling or digging. :/ i think it never happened with sand only soil.

After you close the application open your task manager and kill your java.exe process. If you sort by memory usage it will probably be the one with the highest memory. As for it happening and repeating in game like the cart. I have found another way of dealing with that. I muted all the sound in the game and just listen to pandora... Because every time I see a cave in all I can think is thank god I muted this game!
