Why does it have to be such a pain in the universe.. is it like somekind of broken troll mechanics or what seems to be the problem. You need to be at so specific angle to start the build.
Is there a right way to do it? Sometimes even planting braziers first and building wall later works, but sometimes it does not.

This is how i do it:
Shift + mousewheel to rotate brazier.
Find which rotation works and build the brazier, copy the rotation for next braziers. (Diagonals don't work this is why you have to do it like this)

from what i understand you are not suppose to be able to place a brazer next to a wall... or trees....
JC says he doesn't like the clipping of trees next to objects... kinda funny since i had just said that a lot of the fun in making a base is making it look cool... and he said looks don't matter. >.>
not sure the reasoning behind the brazers tho...

in order to make it impossible for braziers to be part of your wall.
brazier walls were very much a thing before that nerf.
Hell, tree walls were once the top notch of base defence because they took so much longer to chop down than it took to destroy plank fence (because tree speed is set and plank fence at the time had a lower soak and infinitely scaling damage with max phlegm).

there is a difference between making it 1 space from each other and 1 space from each other, walls and buildings...
not to mention that trees are pretty quick to chop down now days.

BTW You Do need one space from buildings because buildings take a week to burn down with greek fire and i'm not sure if raiders can even destroy braziers as easy as it was before.

Walls of trees was a thing back in the days but it was not intended and the game treats them as buildings because it was easier to code i guess...

All structures that take a long time to remove were often being used to make 'structure walls' at one time. So, we added requirements for some things to have a space around them. We added the space around houses and braziers and the like. Trees were actually done by the previous devs and John decided he preferred it stay that way because none of us ever liked the ugly tree walls and because despite that they now chop faster than most walls break, they still don't splash so removing the space would probably result in tree walls cropping up everywhere again.
