Is Hookah madness reduce cooldown 24 hours?

Situation like that:
Smoking Hookah and it says: "you have already used this Hookah"

Now did I just reset the 24 hours again? Or how does it work.

it is 24 hours from the last time you used it not the last time you tried to use it.

Best way to monitory this is to set a timer for 24 hours after you use the hookah.

The timer is based off in-game time and not real life time. So the servers being down for a couple hours yesterday would have made the wait 26 hours instead of 24 which would throw you off. If you were watching all the other clocks instead of the in-game one.

hint: custom client's timers count server time, so starting a 24-hour timer would allow you to know this for sure.

What the difference between actual use and attempt to use hookah?

If you use it, then use it 23 hours later and it doesn't work. The difference will be that you can use it successfully either 1 hour or 24 hours later. The answer is 23 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds, to be virtually exact. I suppose your question may be more directly worded as "Does the server register hookah use when you right click a hookah graphic or is it at another time?"

Yes. As an example say providence's timer was in the future of the tutorial zone. If you lit a pine cone on fire in the tutorial then port to providence you would have a fiery pine cone that never goes out and could be an endless torch. All timers in the game are based off the time in game and not the time of the server. Timber Piles, cementation furnaces, forges, fireplaces, ect. The hookah is no exception.

he's not talking about the server time thing.
He was asking whether you're sure trying (and failing) does not reset the timer to 24 hours again.

Failing resets it. ..both from taking too big of a puff or visiting before your 24 hours is up. Both make you wait 24 from the last time you touched the hookah.
