Setting a log on trestle or sifting rubble... I keep seeing small numbers pop up... usually it's in correlation with a 'proc' of some sort...be it gem or other.
Just kinda wondering what the number is for...or working toward?
Is it like feasting...when you get some much you get free bump??
I can't figure it out on my own... yet.

It did (not sure of it all does) show the number subtracted from 100 indicating the level of hardness of the gem.

Thanks... I guess.
What does it mean for board cutting?
Plenty I get for fields...
Means many things... and I can't find a list on wiki... is there one I missed?
Also is there no improved gem for mining and affluence?
Only fractured is listed.

For board cutting, it means how many extra boards you get to cut from a log, depending on your Hammer & Nail skill level.

The same happens on Coalclamps. It depends on your Sparks&Embers.
You can look at here:
http://salemwiki.info/index.php/ProficienciesIt does not say about the look of the numbers in GUI, but it tells you what effects of proficiencies are in game.

When I read the title, I thought of someone complaining to frequently get small numbers (like zero) as procs on certain things.
