Character disappeared

I logged in and my character disappeared. I didn't commit any crime so I couldn't be summoned I believe.

Any Ideas?

If your character is missing then it died. If you didn't log out correctly then your madness might of killed you or disease.

I had zero madness level nor was I sick.
And am sure I logged of correctly.

Check your homestead with your alt (if you have any) if its still there. Remember attacking/stealing is not only way do leave scents. Did you make any posion darts or forged silver coins?

I declaimed my land so was without a homestead in the end.
I expected to log at my old position or in Providence.

Didn't forge nor poison darts.

Well if you had no homestead and you logged off, your char stayed online. He prob died to madness or disease.

How long does it take to die from Madness/disease?

Madness ? 1-2 days if logged in non stop.

Poison? depends on humors.

Never log out without a homestead.

There's no concrete answer; lot of variables. I'd say a week though- two at the most.

I deliberately sacrificed some alts in town; and one is still alive after a few weeks. Not sure how; but it is. That's one of 10 alts... the rest are 'gone' and all were abandoned on the same day.

Madness around 36h. Disease ? With low humors it even can be 24h.
