Darkness mobs

So I haven't ventured incredibly far into the darkness yet but I have been able to kill a couple Quetzacoatls, Argopelters, and Hydrukeys. I have not yet encountered a furfur, how far into the darkness do they start to appear? Also, I have read you need at least 150 biles to even think about hunting them but I have also heard estimates up to 500. Can anyone shed some light on how far into the darkness they begin to appear and an estimate on the appropriate biles needed to tackle them? Thank yall!

Biles would depend on your hunting style. If you are hunting with a group you don't need them to be over 100.

I wouldn't recommend fighting a furfur with only 100 biles even in a group. It only takes one charge for you to go down.

Would you recommend a feral defense set or is there a specific method I should use when the time comes?
