Possible to come back from madness lvl 8?

On my experimental alt I had him camped outside my mains base. He never slept in a bed, he was KO'd on another persons claim at one time, and I generally just treated him bad.
Now I noticed that his madness lvl is up to 8. Is it possible to bring him back from this?

Start smoking, hit the hooka and cuddle with a teddy bear. It will take a few days but you can get him back to normal.

The smoke place is in Providence, right? Don't you have to have a certain amount of prestige or something to get in? I'll need to build a bear which will also take some time too.

To get enough affluence is easy, just take an axe and chip as many boulder you can find, then you should have enough Sterling Geodes for slotting your clothes.
For Teddybear look at the player stalls, they have sometimes the mats that you need to craft a Teddy.
There are also sometimes to buy Tobacco.

For your Alt, just don't play with him until he is back to a safer level of Madness.

Note that tobacco and the hookas are more effective, the more madness you have.

This means, the lower your madness lvl, the less likely that they will reduce it.

=> Use tobacco + Hookas to lvl 2 or 1, then do the rest with a teddy

=> don't try to get from lvl 1 to zero with tobacco if you are not really in need to do so and/or you have a lot of tobacco/silver
