How long do you stay KO'd?

Ok, I created an alt to tinker around with trespassing and larceny. Nothing major, just wanted to see what it was about and how things worked.
This morning was going to be my first attempt and snooping. I wandered around and found a claim with no defenses of any kind, (fence, torches, or braziers). I entered their property and started looking through the various containers and baskets. I then moved over to where they had several of those big wooden chests. As soon as I opened it...BAM...I was KO'd. No biggie since I didn't really expect this guy to live long anyway. What happens now and how long will he lay there on their claim?

When you do that keep an eye on your black bile. You have a drain just by the crime debuff, and you consume some black bile to open container (and probably empty them aswell).

Ergo, take steps to mitigate this. Wear a "crime" set with criminality, drink tea to have passive regen, organize your search pattern intelligently.

Incorrect. It is free to peek into containers, and the drain is due to presently being on a claim and not the fact of having a crime debuff. I'm assuming this was a boobytrap chest to as he typed BAM.
