hello
guys I need know more about Ore Smelter
today started production

I have read this topic
http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Ore_Smelter

and I put in smelter 13 iron ore and 12 lime
but failed just got only one piece of big iron from 13 pieces of iron

To get the maximum amount of Iron per smelting operation, you should therefore use around 10 to 13 Lime to accompany your Ore,filling all the space. This way you produce any metal bars as quickly as possible while saving fuel.

It says you get 182 % of a bar.
So you got 1 bar on first try and there is 82% left in the smelter.

Next time you will have 182+82% = 262.
So you will get 2 bars and 62 left in the smelter, and so on.

ok but is this right way to get best
do I continued on this mixture mean 13 iron ore and 12 lime ?
I do not know I find this way waste of resources
is there any other better way to produce more
or I continued on this way

It s the quickest way to get the iron.
But if you dont have a lot of iron ore yet and loads of lime, you can put more lime in the smelter. In the long run you get more bar per iron ore.

See the table on the wiki.
With 1 iron ore and 24 lime , you get 26% of bar.
2 irons and 23 lime, 50%. (So 25% per ore).
at 13 ore and 12 lime that s 182% (So only 14% per ore).

If you want to save your ore, put more lime. If you have plenty of ore, go on with the 13/12.

And for more advance player, prepare a clothing set with alloying artifacts. They give free iron% each time you smelt.

well if the first way 13ore nad 12lime to get more production
I'll keep it
I have more iron
but I have a problem to find more lime I can not find a spot close to me
I'm looking I did not find I do not know

and if I will not put lime what I can make from this
like this way 25 ore 0 lime 50% with this way what I can get ?

That page is out of date so the numbers aren't exact. You will get your best results from having a little more ore than lime in your smelter. We haven't released the exact equation.

You can get bonuses to the bars you get by making clothing with bonus to Smelting and Production and wearing it when you light the smelter. You can also use the rare 'little lime' to replace some of your lime and get bonus bars, but most people save those for silver smelting.

And it is still true, you can get more than 100% of a bar in one run and the extra will be added to the next run.

thank you for the clarification
true there are older topics from 2012 ...
this means as you say that I can get more production when I put the amount of iron more than lime
but how for example 20 iron and 5 lime
and what kind of clothes which gives me more production

A little more ore than lime, but I can't be more specific because we haven't given out that formula yet. That's up to John.

You slot artifacts into any clothing: http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Artifact

There is a list of the different types of artifact and what they do. You want "Alloying", which everyone calls smelting, and "Productivity".

Now that I see you say this, I remember when I relocated my smelters lately, iirc all of them produced 1 bar in the first smelting, using the exact same everything as always.
That would not be too strange, but those exact same smelters with the exact same setup and everything produce 2-3 bars per smelting, never 1, so it must be above 200% per smelting... but why only 1 on the first run?

I'd still like an answer to my question:

How can it be that I always get 2 or 3 bars (more than 2.0) meaning there is 2 and a carry over, though the first run on a new smelter always yields only 1 bar?
