Diseased!

I just caught the diseased debuff, went to providence, lagged a bit and there were corpses all over the place, I read a bit and it says I need to be sure which disease I got, so I'm waiting for one symptom to become more frequent than the others, I only got leeches (two to be exact on my main) but lack the other medicines, how much would getting the right medicine cost?

If somebody can help I would really appreciate it.

pretty much you have to wait till the sickness bar is about 1/2 full... trying to cure your self before that will just waste cures.

at that point you should start to see what sickness you have so you can use the right cure and hopefully cure your self the first round.

i don't know much more then that and don't think any one else dose ether... sickness is just a pain in the ass.

I have never let it get to half, that is ridiculous.

Sometimes using the right cure can still take 8 tries or more, even if you have only attempted the right cure.

that is because you don't wait for the bar to fill up at least half way...
if you wait for it to fill up half way then you only need to use cure once.

So the best bet is to wait half way then, as I don't have that much money and lack the materials for the medicines (I have two leeches though), I guess I'll try the Trade Wind when the time comes.

I just recently got sick from the "lies" bodies as well. Using this page (http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Disease) I identified three different symptoms appearing in the first 5 minutes. After 20-30 minutes, my character was only exhibiting the symptom of bending over and barking all over his shoes. This was when the little red bar was less than 10% full. I crafted Columbine paste and took however many it is that leaves one left over and was cured.

Indeed, soon I discovered it takes wayyyyy too long for the disease to advance, when it first started I noted I had the headache and moan happen often than the other symptons (and considering I lacked the other materials, only had leeches) So i applied the leech to my body and it cured me at the first try.

You can keep the leech and use it again, but it really is best to drain it, and not into a bucket. You don't want to have your blood lying around.
