Ok, I tried a few things, none did work.

What is the trick to make them sprout reliably?

Also wondering. I see a fruit tree in the wild. I have fruit orchards. Can't get cutting, can't get fruit. Tried putting a bee skep near it, didn't work.

Kept the skep near it during the season change from coldsnap to everbloom, didn't do anything.

How does one get fruit trees?

Fruit trees dont come from sprouts but from fruits, plant fruits in pots and they will turn into trees mostlikely.

Saying that i can`t understain fruit mechanic, i have 15+ trees in mature state, for at least 8 season changes now and i got fruit only once after introduction from 1 apple tree, not sure do i do somthing wrong or im just not lucky.

So how do you start with those trees? You buy fruits from other players?

yeah (the very first fruits were bought from the seasonal stall).

trees will randomly blossom throughout the everbloom season. This seems to proc random. At that point, the amount of bee skeps and butterfly activity in the vicinity decides whether the blossoms turn into fruit. For what it's worth, I have 15 full skeps near my trees and I haven't yet seen a blossom that did not turn into fruit. The blossoming is still rare though, i'll usually get ~1 out of 5 trees to blossom on an entire everbloom season.

Yea, from what I can tell, using more bee skeps seems to help, but when I see fresh fruit in the stalls at just the beginning of an everbloom, I wonder if I do something wrong.

Things to consider:
- Are more bee skeps really better?
- How does it play out to have more trees in range of a bee skep?
- Should you group trees of one kind only?
- Does it help to have butterflies around, too?
- Is there any other way to influence the outcome, like picking branches or (not) having non-fruit-trees in range?

But the most compelling question there is for me:
Does it actually pay to have fruit trees?
There are no food recipes for fruits, and if used for gluttony as they come, they are a bit meh,
the only thing would be the refresher, but even that isnt too good, or am I missing something?
