Checked my bee slep yesterday 1 queen & all spaces filled with drones accept one.

30 hours later check skep and queen is gone along with 3-4 drones, what gives? I've heard drones die off, but queens?

Oddly I recently had the same thing happen, and not with my oldest queen (I think)

They also evade from time to time.
Maybe they are too old or so.

i've had it happen too, rarely. I believe it can happen when a new bee spawns and they fight to the death
