Hooves and lards

Busted out viscera and bits with the hopes of getting more lards and or hooves. However even in a cold snap beavers were only dropping lards like 1 out of 3, and deer hooves that rate has not improved at all. I feel i was getting more before. Am I missing some information somewhere?

The difference may be that before, you got a 5% chance, and now, you might have a 10% chance. So you need a larger number of examples to see that the rate has increased. These are not exact numbers just estimates. I don't know the exact drop rate, but it is better with V&B.

Well I can confirm that you get more hoofs with V&B. But as Nikixos said it seems that beavers are bugged or something. What I noticed is that I tend to get better chance to get more lard when cutting up beavers tail. Also beavers seem to be a bit off with season changes, there were days during winter when they don't give any lard but also days in summer that almost every beaver gives a lard.

I have killed alot of deer but do not have the space to butcher them all at once, so they sit in a cart until meat is needed. Perhaps animal glue should be able to be crafted from antlers as well? After all it is technically the same material as hooves.

when i learn V&B not give so much...
in 10 deer i got 3-4 hoof, sometime BUT sometime can got 2x hoof from one deer >_>

Nope, you do not rummage a deer. I got 3 hoof from a single deer once or twice. And I believe you can get up to 4. But also sometimes I get 2 hoofs from 15 deer so its random. But still if you wanna get a bigger chance at getting the hoofs you should learn V&B.

i did learn viscera and bits lol that was why i started this post. And when i meant 1 out of 3 beavers dropping lards i dont mean i only killed three and got one, it is an average. Tonite was worse out of twelve beavers no lards and one tail. I will never finish my wall at this rate. Seems bugged. I have a better chance of getting a lard from sizzling grubs than i do from killing beavers even with v&b.

There is no risk vs reward in digging and getting grubs to sizzle as opposed to going off base and hunting beavers yet the lard drop is lower for hunting. Is this intended?

use both, they are not bad but you need to kill more than 15. use a canoe and kill in providence coast
