Help with farming please

So I'm having trouble quite understanding how you teir the farms. So far I know you need to get certain bars up from certain plants. But I'm trying to figure out how to get higher teir cotton. plz help me.

sorry i am a horrible farmer and i understand your pain. I personally use this outdated diagram
Basically if you want indian cotton you need cabbage influence. If you want sea island you need cabbage and cereal influence.

It means, for example, that planting Pumpkin increases you Pink bar. When that bar gets high enough, you plant cereal in that field and get Rye, or you plant cabbage in the field and get White Cabbage. Raising both your Pink Pumpkin bar and your Blue Cotton bar will get you Red Cabbage from that field (raising two bars requires some Influence fertilizers, there are explanations in the wikis).

This chart is a bit out of date as it doesn't include Corn, Tobacco, and Potatoes; someone recently posted an updated picture, but I don't recall where it is... Still, this chart is good enough to get you going.

So did i help you to understand? If not here is a little elaboration but again i am not much of a farmer.
If there are two arrows going to the product that mean you need influence from both of those products.

If you want to know about the other crops just replace them in the diagram with the ones that take from the same influence as in this chart

so for example replace cabbage with a potato

As to which one you want higher or lower and such... I am really not the person to help you. However if i really wanted to figure it out The wiki does explain it.

How do you plant a crop so it doesn't go up a teir and use Influence you have been saving for a different crop, well I guess I'm asking what's the best fertilizer order and crop order for a good rotating farm how would one achieve something like this without crops using the influence?

It uses the higher bar, if you have 100 in the red bar and 90 in the green bar you will get egyptian cotton, 100 green and 90 egyption would give you more indian cotton.

You don't really need order, plant cabbage and bomb it with 40 hay for 2 harvests and it will give you 90-95 in the red bar.

Then how would one get sea island cotton if it uses the higher bar, because from what the diagram above says that u need 2 bars to get it.

Because if you have more than 150 counting both bars, it will start giving the 3rd tier
