LOL - feel like such an idiot - but I was in Providence town today - trying to attend the "Piniata" event - and had real life distraction call me away unexpectedly.

When I logged back in I found that my keyring and of course, master keys, were all gone - gah! I've looked in every container on my claim and no keys. I'm wondering if I somehow dropped it when I dropped the blindfold from the Piniata event? I know this is ridiculous, and probably no one will respond - but did anyone find a set of keys in Providence? If so, I'd love them back.

I do have a slave copy of course, but obviously not too thrilled about losing the master keys - suppose I'll have to just change all the locks - but just in case some kind soul found them, would appreciate if they'd return them.

LOL, thanks. No pity deserved though for doing something so idiotic And what really caps it is I never did really get to participate in the event!

Ahh well, so much for trying to make wrought iron - I'll need what I have to make keys and locks.

When i first started playing i had no keyring, it was sunday and i attended the dock club, too bad i didn't know where the cliffs were and i was teleported inside the arena, koing with my keys and all, i had to destroy my doors lol. Fortunately there is no soak on buildings if you claim them now.

Yeah, I just realized replacing the locks isn't gonna be as easy as I thought, considering I no longer have the master keys. Man, it just gets better and better - when I built my base, I added gates on all sides and a couple extra for aesthetics, so I basically have TEN gates I have to bash, and then re-lock and key. I'd slam my head into my keyboard again, but its getting old already and my head hurts. lol!

(BTW, with my humors and shovel, I'm getting 1% dmg on my gates - imma be breaking down gates for the next two weeks! ROFL)

Here's a stupid question - (sorry for double post)

If someone finds my keyring with master keys, but those keys are attuned to me - they still can't make copies of them or use them, right? Cause I still have working copies of my keys and a vault alt with master copy. So should I/do I need to actually change the locks or am I still good?

A bit confused on the whole lock thing still...

Nah they can't use them because it's only attuned to you, if you have the other master key then you're good.

also if you are the claim owner you can destroy them easly, drink white tea if it helps but watch out for the splash damage, if your base is of stone hedge consider upgrading to plank fence instead of repairing.

Ok, thanks - that helps a little. At least I don't have to tear out 10 gates right this minute (though I already made up the locks and a new set of keys - figures!) Thanks so much for the response and sharing your story - helped me feel maybe a leeettle less stupid. Heh!

(And yeah, I do have stone hedge right now - two walls. But I'm working on getting masonry - was actually planning/hoping to do a brick wall on the outer perim of my claim as soon as I am able to get the skills (been baking bricks and saving lard for the mortar). And I did leave 8 spaces between walls to help avoid splash at least.
