I need snowballs to raise Perennial Philosophy and I'm not a witch to make rat teams, so does anyone know how to find a high mountain with snow?
(edit: This post was about asking about Perennial Philosophy and hunting rats, but the next comment said that I need Snowballs instead)

You cannot make rat teams without being a witch.
If you need to raise perennial philosophy, just climb to the peak of a mountain and study snowballs.

^ As far as I could understand this topic you linked is about a mountain with the Family Stone - north of Providence. This will not help me to find snowballs in Popham server...

You could also wander around semi at random and use surveys to selectively move towards mountains, as it seems to indicate those in some regard as noted on that post. That part of the map is like a muddy topographical map. Anything that looks much like that is going to be a snowy mountain.
You could also wander around completely at random and just go up based on the in game topography, but just walking there, or using a survey to judge where a mountain probably is is much easier and sane.

Already tried the semi-random search and these maps are ambiguous (near my base they show similar images and there is no mountain at all).
The mountain with the Family statue will probably have some players in the way besides being a 2 hour monotonous task.
Guess I'll have to use a dozen of iron bars (Lover's Locket), glasses (time consuming or 240s a piece to make Oakum), and rats (and things to cure their diseases). To be a middle-tier alchemist is pretty hard in this game.

There are also salamanders, crucifix's and soap.
I know the first is rare, the second sort of inefficient, and the third painfully expensive because of the opportunity cost, but what do you want? It's not supposed to be an easy skill. You want it fast take the risk and go up there during what your best guess on anyone who might be up there's 3 in the morning, or take a larger risk.

I don't know abt. Popham's details with regard to town radius & salamander spawn rate, but in the grasslands SE of Prov, within the claim, I found 3 salamanders within 15 minutes.
