I didn't have any trouble placing the stove. but now what all can I do with it besides cook steaks?

Haha, I guess this is true. But I was wondering since it has slots if anything can be cooked in it like worta bites and what not?

The wiki lists a few things that can be cooked in a stove; a few require the stove, others work in both stove and fireplace. I haven't built mine yet, so I am not sure if the list is complete -- does a stove act like an open flame for roasts and the like?

They're like fireplaces, just different recipes and shorter burn time. The slots don't store anything or do anything.
