How to pave a biome after digging ?

Hi,

I dug around my place to have a flat land, and I want the biome comes back instead of dug dirt.
How can I do that ?
I though it was done by paving some seeds, but it seems it's not like that anymore.

I believe it will come back on it's own, with the biomes nearest the patch randomly filling it in, although the more there is of one kind the more it checks for that type, so it's more likely if one type of biome is most common around your bare patch.

This takes some time however.

It will take a few months if it's a big dug land patch, but it's random

That's just the biome growing back on either side of the road. Make your road a bit wider and it won't cover it so much.
