I am new to game and need help.
I have started a new character and went through the tutorial and have picked a spot, i have also gotten a few skills up and now i wish to port to town but the button for town is grayed out.

Am i supposed to walk to boston to unlock town portal?

No , you don't need to walk to Boston.

You can port to town if you are under one of those condition :
- be close (really close) to your home (Leanto or Claim stone) and don't be overweight in your inventory
- or stand where you want (except inside mine I think) and have absolutly nothing in your inventory.

aghh, i was totally not even looking in adventure tab to travel.
I thought the "Town" button on the left corner of screen was what let me travel =S

I am having a similiar issue as I do not have Boston available in my travel menu. All I have is providence and home. Any ideas on how to get to Boston without it being in the travel menu?

Providence is boston, i mean, town.

Boston does not exist

The only town you can teleport to (the only server town) is Providence

For a long long time the main town port skill was called ... to Boston: on boston, plymouth, roanoke AND jamestown. Hence a lot of us still tend to refer to the main town as boston.

I remember before that when it was one server, then three, then ...one server again. And at one point you had to like w a l k back.. . and over water Fun times (oh and maple trees didnt regenerate their leaves which was MAJOR BAD)
