Don't do that to yourself. The throughput even if you are absolutely efficient at running through the tutorial is still going to be "Bah, this takes too long".

Can you still throw them in fires? If you can that would be a thing. Throw them in your stove or bread oven. Otherwise, onto the ground they go.

You can use them for all fire that are able to fill with branches at normal.
You can store them for making wood choppings for fertilze fields to lower the upkeep.
Otherwise drop them to the ground, when you have filled all fireplaces/stoves/ovens and you have enough stored.
