Question about mining

Postby Lihz » Fri Jul 17, 2015 3:06 pm

So

I started playing again after a long break, and i am just learning my way around the new mining system.

However, when i decided to start my copper production - much to my surprise, even though the mine was built on a copper node, the first thing seam i hit is iron??

So my question is this: Is it possible to find all types of ore in all mines? And, when the game shows it as a copper node - does that only mean that there is more copper than iron?

You will find all metals in mines now. I'm not sure what the node type means.

I guess only that iron nodes can be found by both woo woo wands and iron rods while copper nodes can be found only by the rods

Nodes don't matter anymore, all mines work the same. The purity of your dowsing rods will help you find more and different mine nodes, useful for villages

That's false for like... 2 years now? I remember that while we had 3 servers I could find all mine nodes with any rod

Currently the only difference between woo woo wands and rods is that rods can find more metal nodes.
For example: Lets say woo woo finds 3 minehole spots near you. Rod would find those 3 + some more.

To be more specific, Woo Woo wands find Well nodes and Iron nodes, rods find Iron nodes and Copper nodes. rod purity doesn't affect anything anymore, so you will find the same amount of Iron nodes with woo woo wands as you will with the rods. But yeah, it seems like there's little to no difference between actual content between iron and copper nodes now. :/
