Alloying set

hello,
could someone please tell me how alloying bonus works ? I have slotted some buckles, so I tried to make iron bars without any bonus, with 100 bonus and with 200 bonus but I don't really see any difference (except that I get more faces in the dross with the 200 set). maybe 200 is too low for alloying ? thanks for any help and advice!

I think devs said that having a set with +500 alloying would give you half a ber per smelting on average

ok that sounds a bit difficult :) what else is there as artifact apart from buckles ? because seven pieces of clothing with silver+gold+steel buckles is about 500 bonus

I think productivity counts as alloying too. Although it's hard to verify

thanks. I will try to add productivity artifacts and see if I manage to get an extra bar per smelter :) it would be great :)

If I'm correct, Ore Smelters "memorize" how much % of Iron Bars are produced per smelt.
That % consist of Ore / Lime ratio + Alloying. If you get two bars per smelt and sometimes three, it's because of that. Ratio used could donate 230% to bar completion per smelt for example. First three smelts would give us two bars per smelt but the fourth smelt would give us three.
If 500 Alloying gives half of a bar that means it's roughly +50% to each smelt.

I believe there's also a little RNG in there now, but this is correct, any extra percent of a bar gets added to the next smelt.
