Only dark tiles

Ive recently found the entrance to the second level in my mine. and the the wierd (i think) thing happened: there are only dark tiles surrounding the entrance in the second level. ive dug 4 tiles 360 degree around the ladder and 10 or more tiles along 1 direction (so added with the original space around the ladder, its a dark tile region with at least 25x20). and still, all dark tiles, no rubble tile at all. Is this normal? should i start to worry if the entire level are all dark tiles?

Mining uses a node system similar to minecraft if im not mistaken. It sounds like you jsut got a bit unlucky and spawned in the middle of a dark stone node. Just keep digging it will change eventually.
