Also How do I set the claim? I see boxed that say Trespass Theft Vandalsim and colored boxes. How does that work? Do i check them?

After you put up a claim, right click the claim. this is the window for making permissions for the claim. Seeing how much money is in the claim and there's also a button that says 'make claim your "Homestead"'. If you click this button then your lean to will no longer be your homestead and then you can destroy it safely. and simply use your claim instead.

ANd does the claim always stay visible? It's an eye sore.

If you mean the stone yes. If you mean the actual claim then you can turn it off with the custom clients.

Edit: Fun fact you can also change all graphics in the game client.
