Why no choice of server?

I just started playing and I just read there are two servers 1 Popham and other Providence. I was not given a choice was sent to Providence. Why is there no choice and is Providence ok sever? I mean thats the name of town when I port from my leanto

At the end of the tutorial when you talk to the Wilderness Guide you get two choices, Providence (which is by the ocean) and Popham, which is in-land

Hmm i must have not been paying attention. Well im in providence I hope I made a good descision. I have a serious case of OCD I may have to reroll lol.

Prov is the permanent sever, Popham is an expedition server that will be wiped in a few months.

I'd suggest making a small, kind of safe base on Providence, to learn a few things, then make a character on Popham, for the expedition.
