Hello everyone,

I want to start playing Salem with some friends tonight but we don't know what is the difference between the Providence and the Popham server.

Could anyone help us by stating the differences between the servers?

Popham is Expedition Server - is temporary (this server anytime can be destroy)

Providence normal server, when popham end people transfer from popham animals Pig ... into Providence

Popham should last 3-6 months , it is the PvP server I suggest you play popham.

Depends on how you guys want to play. On providence is a much safer choice for those who don't want to pvp. It is still extremely dangerous but you wont have to worry about cannons. However it might take you a longer time to get the new stuff that comes with the expeditions. This time around it is farm animals. Most of the HUGE new systems will be added through expeditions.

Popham is a much more dangerous place but also more exciting. If you guys want to explore combat and live a much more dangerous life then this is the server to choose. It will last 2-6 months. It all depends on when/if a witch who hits T3 gets to all the statues and whoever is defending them and prays to them all. Hitting T3 will be a next to impossible task depending on luck. I would take a guess that the server will last around 6 months depending on the witch reaching T3 and being able to get to all the statues. It should be very interesting to see how it goes down.

This is some great information, Dallane! I think we'll settle on Popham, looking for great new adventures!

Yes... Popham for new player will good... BUT only few months (1? 2? 4? 6? 8? nobody know... when witch destroy world...) and WHAT next ? you lose ALL ... if you dont play Providence

im dont play in Providence, why ? because i cant build barn ... for animal...

Providence is extremely boring. I threw a vast majority "valuable" items into the river to focus on expeditions.
