I am not sure what is wrong, but the ONLY thing I can place in the compost bin are common earth worms, it won't let me put anything else in it, not plants, not meat, not berries, not mushrooms, not any of the other things that the Wiki says can be used.

Try to left click the item you want to put in and then right click the bin. Use shift when you're rightclicking to keep trowing things in.

Right click the bin with your compostable mats, don't put anything inside the actual bin container where the humus spawns.

It's like feeding a fireplace.

Putting worms and pythons in your bin is for increasing the purity of humus coming out of the bin. Useful for gardening in pots.

You need to place some pythons in a box with food on all four sides of them. The food should be as high a purity as you can get your hands on. The pythons will become more pure when they eat the food. Put them in your humus bin and the humus will come out more pure. Use the humus on your garden pots and the plants you grow there will be more pure.

You can also use earthworms instead of pythons, but the pythons are much more efficient so you don't need as many taking up room in your bin.
