I'm old returning/casual player.
After changes I have small question:
With this new teleport system and landmarks - is sit still the thing to do base far far west from city? With landmarks is shouldnt be the case anymore. Am I wrong?

1. Get far from Prov. 2. You will be found. 3. Build defenses asap. 4. Wait, you'll be raided. 5. Learn your mistakes, move, retry. 6. Join an established village. 7. Behave, build more defense, keep your nose clean. 8. You'll still get found, but will you be hit?
Lastly but not last, actually FIRST: Wait for the trolls to respond to this post, and ignore them.
That's just my experience, yours may be different slightly but doubtful.

No real "safety" all areas you can travel to have a landmark near them no matter what direction you're in.

Thx for answers

Well, I guess I will stick with points 3, 4 and 5. That's the whole fun for me

hm... One more question, don't want to start another topic.
Is underground base viable? Just to keep keep mine entrance and few fields on ground level?

Well in mine you can steal without scents so as long as you secure it properly its ok, but once your defense is broken its soooooo easy for raider to take all he can.
On the other note remember that if you dig too deep you'll free Balrog get to lvl that can be accessed from other mines and your base will be compromised

Can anyone confirm if and how that mechanic is implemented ? I mean if two mines are at lvl nine, do you have to dig all the way ( that you would normally walk on the surface ) from one to the other ? or ... ?

I heard last year that the underworld "deamworld" or whatever is as large as the above world.
And basically your mine entrance is mirrored on that underworld map.
Unsure how true this is.
EDIT: It was compaired to "The Nether" from minecraft, as the best way to describe it.

I see, thanx, I thought it would be something else from a map of equivalent size underground, that would be chaotic ( i would like it i think )
