Water tower

How does a water tower work?

I am planning on building one, but i am not sure where to place it. Either i place it near the water, so i can fill it fast, or in the center of my town so it is close to where i need it.
I was wondering if you can fill a barrel with a single click? Or do i have to use a bucket each time i get water from it?

Because if i can fill a barrel with a single click, it would be a better idé to place it near water instead, but if i can only fill a bucket at a time, that would serve no purpose.

filling it near the water would not make a difference would it?
no you cant fill barrels directly from the tower.

Sorry - only a bucket at a time, but if you have some friends or live in a town its quite easy to set up a chain gang where a few people are carting/sledding barrels and another few people are unloading the water with buckets into the water tower.

If i built it near water, i could click the bucket on water, then the tower. And it would be worth it if i could fill the barrels with one click from the tower. But if it's only a bucket at a time, it's not really worth building one as i live so close to water

It appears you can fill a water tower with a barrel but you cannot fill a barrel with a water tower. I'll have to take a look at that in the future.

Does that mean you plan on making it possible to fill a barrel from a water tower? =D

I will consider it but it won't be a priority before expeditions.

Please if you're going to change that consider doing same for oil press too.

Oilpress should hold more oil and or be able to attach a barrel to it.
