How many can build Torchpost and still Torchpost work ?

Just make sure to segregate them.

You want as much possible to cover as much as possible of your walls. If all your walls are covered by 5 torchposts while 1 segment alone is covered by only 2 you can be sure that raiders will attack that segment. If you think that this is your definitive base you should plan to add braziers along the way when you start building your torchposts (you must leave some place to build braziers). Also if possible you should build "turrets" which are walled off from the rest of your base so if someone wants to breakthrough they need to destroy all your turrets walls to have access to the braziers to pour water on them.
