Killing an argopelter

How on earth do i kill one?

It wont stun when i stomp or bullrush it. And when i try to pull it away so i can slash it abit, it just disappears, because there is no trees. But if it's close to trees it just climbs up and it's gone.

You need to get further away that its range so it will try to run to another tree often close by you. It's pretty easy to guess which trees when there are few. Put yourself in front of the tree and aim for a thrust when it comes close. It will then go to another tree if you didn't kill it in one shot. Repeat.
