help please how do i launch the game

Hi Salem, i have just downloaded Salem and i have no launcher how do i launch the game i cant see a launcher in the files anywhere, so i went to salemthegame.com logged in and clicked launch client but that wants to reinstall the game again, can anyone help or am i being so blind that i should just uninstall and not come back images/icons/smile/redface.gif

If I were you, I would reinstall the game from scratch, and if that didn't work, I would reinstall java and try again. Good luck!

The jalapeno file, as I like to call the launcher, doesn't reinstall the game, it checks for missing files and updates it all. The only reason a previous installation might have failed is if you don't have write access allowed in the user folder. Else the files are there and incomplete and the launcher is completing the download. The 'launch the game' file on the site is just a small launcher file you can save and use locally

you can start from your account settings or the custom client updater(which is wherever you d/l it)

awesome you are a star launching from the updater worked for me and it also solved another issue, I did reinstall and got a new launcher but every time I launched it tried reinstall the game again so I searched again for help found out about java setting still didn't work the launcher was still downloading on every launch I was about to give up till I seen your post and it worked for both issues no more launcher trying to download and I can play, woot woot \o/ thanks everyone
