I meant to say which land does not have the likes of Darwoth or any of the other griefers... Or which area has fewer. I played a lot 2 years ago and I was about to open up a shop (I like to play by myself) when on a whim one of the griefers decided to come destroy everything just for the fun of it (luckily, he didn't kill me because I am not an idiot who would pick a fight with one of them). I would love to play the game again but it just gets tedious/stressful when I think some ******* is going to come up and destroy everything because they think its fun. I know that is the nature of the game, but I lasted a pretty long amount of time without getting attacked or harassed and I just didn't know if there was another map that had fewer.... assholes.

First of all, welcome back, second, walls are incredible harder to destroy now, even stone hedges take 30 minutes to an hour to destroy for everyone, if you have braziers and torchposts firing all the time, a brick wall or plank fence will keep most griefers away, only organized factions might go trough that
For more information about the pvp changes in Providence, check the official patch notes about raiding
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11742

Specifically:
'Titans'

Raiding with High Humor characters has been rebalanced. Players will gain no additional benefit to damaging an object once they have achieved approximately double the soak of their target. So, if the target has 50 soak, max damage will be done by a raider with 100 Phlegm. The only benefit of having higher humors is that the raider will have more time to destroy and to take hits from braziers and be able to do max damage for more of that time.

Soak damage of plank fence is 200, Brick is not really known

Well that is good to know. I had many stone walls up at the time and the griefer just seemed to cut through it like butter. I couldn't do anything but watch as all my hard work was destroyed. At the time there didnt seem to be a point of going through adding walls because they seemed like they could be blown through so easily. With the latest update/patch has everyone had to start at zero? Or is my character alive out there still?

Providence started near Feb 2014.
Expeditions will start when the game launches officially on june, they will be new servers which will be restarted every year or less, depending on the player's actions.
Providence will have no restart, so it's pretty much a permanent server. Keep in mind Mortal Moments took over, if you were told this story before, it was under the old regime

I was perusing the server from a few years ago and it looks like shortly after I stopped playing, Jamestown might possibly (I have yet to read everything) have become one giant town. That is all fine and good but I really liked playing by myself. I am not anti social. I just like not having to answer to other people while helping other people out in the process. It almost reminds me of bullying in school or worse yet, answering to a boss who constantly threatens to terminate you, and I already have that in my life. I loved playing Salem. I hope that I can get back into it because it truly was a very enjoyable game.
