Digging out clay deposits

Hello you guys!

Image

This is a screenshot of one out of three clay deposits i've dug out. Now i am starting to wonder if i might be digging them out in the wrong way? Just feels like they deplete too fast, is there some way to find out where i can dig more in the deposit? Or some ultimate way to dig out.

Sincerly

Vincent

i do not think there is "wrong" way of digging that

make a clay through and dig dirt

I did manage to get about 1000 more clay, by digging from the top sides, and then downward. But i had to dig away some dirt first, so it would not be so steep.

on the sections away from the cliff, dig the dirt down a bit, this should allow you to access more clay as the initial hill will not be as steep. This should propagate down to the base of your clay pit no?

Yes it does help, but you also have to dig away some dirt. But it is one way to get the most of the clay deposits.
