Effin bees, how do they work?

I have a hive with a queen and two drones in it, and there's an apple tree in it's range. I haven't disturbed the hive in over 24h. And still the worker bee count remains at 0. What the hell does the queen need to start doing her thing?

It was said in another thread that you need more drones than 2. Lowest number quoted I have seen to work was 5. 3 drones didn't work. So get to picking those daisies ^^

There were three actually, but one died in the 24h that I didn't touch the hive so I didn't think I should count it. Weird, I could've swore I've read that 2 is the minimum :/

Anyhow, on sort-of related note, when are fruit trees supposed to give fruit? I've planted my apple right at the end of the previous Everbloom, so it looks fully grown now, but no fruit. There's a butterfly box with 75 efficiency in range.

Pretty sure 4 drones works too.

Don't check the skep too often because this will upset the bees, also our first step worked with just 2 drones
