Bottom, 9th level of a mine. It's a level shared by all mines

As long as they dig to this 9th level. Practically digging down there opens up your mine to the other people, from the bottom

What size of dreamworld? If it is fully equal to the size of the upper world, then dig a tunnel from one mine to another is almost impossible task.

Of course, if the mines are located side by side it is possible to dig, though it makes no sense. I mean mines in interesting places, such as large towns. Check the distance between your mine and mine of your enemies, and then try to dig each tile.
