Intended. If you prefer I'll let you plant the tree right next to your wall and then have the roots slowly tear up the foundation of the wall and knock it over.

that is really ******...
why can't they be like blazers and can't be placed near each other but placed near a wall?
if i plant it anywhere else on my claim it is going to make my claim look like ****..... tho since trees are so easy to chop down now i don't see why it even matters if we plant them next to each other....

Because tears.

And because i find it hilarious that a player would try to pretend that a single square makes some horrible difference in the placement of a tree.

it really does...
i have a 1 1/2 squares i can walk on between my house and my wall and i want the tree on the inside of the wall so i can pick branches to put in my fireplace.
i also plan to use it in my mine that is right across the walkway.... and if i put the tree out there i wont be able to finish my wall...
my only other option would be to put it over where i am going to put my berry bushes and fruit trees... but that is on the far side of my claim and will also mean one less fruit tree....

not to mention how it will make my claim look..... looks do matter also....

I think some tree groves already look dumb with how close they 'clip' if planted at that small distance. I can only imagine the horror you guys would create with further leniency.

Move your wall.

the next best place to plant it would be right next to my mine since that is the other area i am going to be using branches...... but i have a wall running right along that also...
not being able to plant a commonly used resource near where are you are going to be using it most often is a major pain in the damn ass.

I am prepared to investigate the base and situation, and if I can find a way in which you could build a new wall, and gates, that can easily accommodate the build restrictions then I get to nuke your existing wall. Fair bet? Or do you want to concede that this is simply laziness on your part to not move your wall to make room for your trees.
