About blood moon.

As I understand it, witches need to 'summon' it somehow, otherwise it doesn't ever occur, am I right?
If that is the case, sometime before it occurs, will there be a message that notifies all players that blood moon is about to happen? Something like "A blood moon is rising (in 5:00)", so that we have enough time to disengage from any kind of combat?

I could be wrong, but I believe it was said that players will get like 30 seconds of a warnING or something.

There has never been one so you will just have to wait and see. I hope there isn't, that one second its a nice spring day and the next Blood Moon, you better get your ass back to base and hope you don't get mauled on the way back.

The server has a day/night circle. I wonder if witches can only start one at "night" or anytime they want...

The devs actually told me and told me it's instant cast once it's "cast" no warning on the prep the witch has to do, but they did tell me that there will be no warning to victims. I can only assume the cost of a blood moon will come at such a great cost as it will probably get a lot of people killed.

Fair enough. Though I did hear that when a character dies due to blood moon, a scent is legt, not of the killer, but of the witch that started the moon. Any confirmation on that?

Well, if there is no warning, then it's truly evil!
Server side there is a day/night cycle? Do you know how long each day is (approximately) in real time?
