Hi there!
I currently own every battle skill (except for killing blow)
my biles are 9x/9x/9x, i use polearm and spanish sabre
still i have trouble with hunting things (might be a childhood trauma, deer and bear raped my character at ~15/15/15/15 biles age..)
since then i only hunt beavers and turkeys
what biles are enough to hunt different animal and monsters?
what are the hunting tips for each one?
too bad, we still don't have such guide on forums, nor ingame help has enough information

80 Biles should be enough for Bears and Argopelters
50 Biles should be enough for Deers

Bullrun, thrust, thrust and run! for bear. Just roundhouse kick and use guard for the deer. PS a polearm works aswell

Yeah that's all I hear in similar threads: xx biles would be enough for x animal ...
I guess I need more exact tactic tip examples like matan just said for bears and deers
Is there any difference between cleave and roundhouse kick? Wiki says dmg formula is the same?
And by the way, what about the rest of equip? Is there such thing as defense parameter on clothes or should I just go hunting barefoot for more weight capacity?

You can add artifices to help you hunting but if you need them at your bile level there is indeed a problem in your fighting prowess. Feral artifices helps you receive less and inflict more damage. Impact power helps with the damage of your halberd. Piercing power with your sword. (Unsure about the next sentence) Blunt power with your kicks, bullrun, punches, uppercut and the rest.

You sure feral artifices increase damage? There is only feral defense...

Yeah only defence. Sorry I was already writing for blunt/impact/piercing artifices in my head.

Kicks are impact and punches are blunt, the rest is concussive and sadly there is no concussive artifacts in the game :,(

I believe that common combat power increases concussive dmg

With deer you want to stay close - they find it very hard to charge at you (and thus try and brake your bones) when you are upclose.
For bears you want to be faster on your feet, the more you can avoid the attack where they stand on their hind legs the better. Bullrush is your friend but so is 'Regain composure' - this will lower you your reel meter (the higher it is the more damage you take from the bear) It also tends to triger the bear to perform an attack so a good way to lure it your way for a bullrush or a thrust.
