Getting to the darkness

I heard there was a carriage or something similar that allows you to quickly travel to the darkness. Can I get some additional info on this? Or do you just have to keep walking?

Outskirts, number 2 - near the king's garden.

Can you break it down I bit further I really don't know anything about the system for where to go, who to talk to or anything like that. I'm in providence at the moment but I have no clue where to go from there.

Just explore around a little bit. They're not hard to find.

I would suggest going to the runes landmark instead of nod. Traveling to the runes only costs 30s and puts you fairly deep into the darkness.

To get to the runes, travel via the caravan north of limer's front.
