I am a new player and started smelting my first iron ore today. First batch was 20 Iron Ore and 3 Limes (which should have returned 1 Iron Bar) - result was all dross. I emptied the dross and filled the whole thing with Iron Ores. Again all dross, no bar. What could be the problem?

I have noticed my smelters returning less than I'd expect them, too. Unsure what the new rules are.

Smelter yields have indeed changed. Players have a further incentive to fire in more balanced quantities.

Define "more balanced" please. (exact numbers would be good)

You'll be waiting forever. I highly doubt anybody will get hard numbers to the new mechanic in the next month.

Yep. Seems like it took us a few months to nail down what we know now, and loftar and jorb weren't even trying to keep it a close secret.

Can we ask if you've added in any random factors?
