Is there a rough map of the world available? I have no clue where I am relative to Providence, or anything else

There is not, that would make the game to easy, and allow for people to find someones base from a screenshot based on the mini-map. There is however a mapping tool viewtopic.php?f=11&t=9617 that me and others use to map out the land, and what we have found, although most of us do not share it.

If you're using Kandarim's client there's a tool you can use to find distances between party members.

Thanks for the responses! Just got the tool that Rubberduckbandit pointed out set up.

How do people go about finding each other in the wilderness? I know you can hearthsecret with a new character, but other than exploring the whole world how do you find people?

i don't think you would want to find others UNLESS your intent is to raid/kill them

trade between settlers happens in boston, a more or less neutral meeting ground. If you meet players outside of boston they can knock you out/steal your stuff/murder you

It takes some effort. Try posting a sign to PM you on the forums when you find a base, trade in Providence.

If you find a base, don't tell Pistol, unless you want the criminal to l3wt the poor settler for all its pennies.
