Having recently returned to the game after a lengthy absence I thought I should stock up on the cures for the new fancy vomiting that seems to be all the rage these days. Anyway made the tonic, found the leeches, found antlers and all the items for the paste. However can't interact with a grindstone, i read elsewhere it's a craft response to use. Which skills gate the use of a grindstone for the salts and columbine paste?

Probably Potions and Poultice.

I've already unlocked it and only got Rubbery Mescaline Refresher as a craft item.
It's more the being able to use the grinder issue, and what allows access to related skills.

Rudimentary Triage or Folk Medicine, possibly ?

I already had those too,
However found the smelling salts require bonemeal crafting that was gated behind 'Small Game Hunting' & 'Fishing'. Once those two skills were added the smelling salts appeared in my potions & medicines list.
So that's one step closer at least.

The Paste still eludes me though, so I'm assuming it's gated behind maybe Maize Planting, which gives access to oils from the press? I'm unsure but sounds possible.

Nope, not maze planting i can tell you that, it might be the flower planting skill though?
