Okay so quick question, there is a skill monster hunting which is a requirement for hunting the animals in the darkness. My experience with big game hunting is untill i got that i couldnt stomp a deer for example.
Is this the same for darkness creatures meaning they wont aggro and attack us without the skill having been learnt as we cant defend ourselves?

You can't aggro them but they can aggro and then you can defend yourself.

I don´t have the Monster Hunter skill learned yet, but killing rabbits when looking for carrots at 1-2 hours distance from Boston, a march hare spwaned. I run because of the bleed and to make some tourniquetes, and lost the agro crossing a river. I was able to attack it back, and I was able to skin and butcher it also.

March Hares are not darkness creatures they are just more common in the darkness.

Monster hunting will allow you to butcher darkness animals such as pelters. Without this they can be killed but not butchered.
