Also what's this about boats getting damaged while moving? How often does it happen does anyone use them?

yes, it can happen, and why everyone tends to use canoes unless they need a rowboat. http://www.salem-wiki.com/mediawiki/ind ... le=Rowboat

What's the reasoning for the boat damage thing? And can happen? Does that mean it's random? The wiki thing makes me thing it's something constant?

And how about the mine container question? Anything bigger than chests can go in there?

Sheds can be placed in mines.

I was under the impression that rowboats no longer degrade simply by tiles moved, but now get damaged when you hit something with them.

That makes sense, although sadly, it will force me to steer half way decently rather than like a drunken idiot because it's too much work and actions per second to repeatedly click on the water in the right place as if I don't already risk carpal tunnel with this game.

I don't know. I don't use rowboats. I'd have to dig through old patch notes and such to find out...

cause of rowboat decay: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4130#p47887 (only hit from a dev post)

I'm not finding anything else immediately through Google on both "rowboat damage" and "rowboat decay"

New Inspirational Oakum is now required to construct and repair both Boats and Canoes. Rowboats and Canoes no longer decay so only actual damage will require repair.
Oakum is made using new item Fired Bottle of Tar which is made from an Unfired Bottle of Tar.
Canoes now require a Paddle in their construction, while Rowboats require two. Rowboats also no longer require Iron Bars, but take nails instead.

This was in reference to boats decaying for not being on a claim. Rowboat might still be decaying when in use.

Don't leave us hanging. Is it or isn't it? Will it get changed if it is?
