I've come across a number of items which spawned on or near a cliff edge that I've been unable to pick up.

More recently I've been eaten by a beaver instead of the other way 'round.

I was knocked out while (foolishly) attempting to climb a cliff, which left a number of my items sprawled about and similarly inaccessible.

Is there anything clever which can be done to recover such precariously placed items?

use the "Dig" Command on the top of the cliff to dig ur way down to the items.
