... I have the clay pot over the fire but I can't place 'Shrooms in it.

Am I missing something here? It's full with water the fire is lit... idk how to cook the 'Shrooms.

Which ones are you trying to boil? Currently, poisonous mushrooms include the toadstools, the witch's hat, and for some reason the morel. Anything else can't be boiled because it doesn't need to be.

I'm trying to boil Lavenders which are poisonous. I can remember after eating them I got the poison.

Also trying to boil Yellow Morels.
