I built a portion of a makeshift fence for practice and ran into a swamp, which won't allow me to dig or fence around it. When I went to destroy the fence I discovered I can't even hit it for 1% no matter how long I attack it. I was under the impression you could start damaging it at 5 phelgem. I have 22 phelgem. Is this bugged or am I doing something wrong? I click destroy on the fence and hack at it for several minutes and nothing happens. Do I need a special tool?

I can destroy mine easily and I'm in 17 bile, so that may not be the case. may be it's bugged, or you could try carrying an ax.

i believe makeshift recently got an update that gave it some small amount of soak.
Note that soak is not applicable on your own town claim as of the september patch.

Any idea what level I'll have to get my phelgem to now to knock these walls down? They're a serious menace to my development plans.

20 plus. Although a 5 humor alt could destroy them if he owned the pclaim under them.
