If you commit a crime and leave a sent, but do not have a homestead, are you able to be summoned still?

Yes, and if you are summoned, you will die instantly because you don't have a homestead. Why do you think raiders protect their homesteads so carefully? There's even a word for it: Vault.

Don't they need to be at your homestead to summon you?

I do, I have not committed any crimes, just thinking about a possible loop hole but I don't know if it would work or not.

That loop hole being, You go and rob a place, go off the claim, make a leanto, travel to Boston, continue to transfer the goods to another character. then just destroy the leanto and go back to Boston and basically just raid from there. I don't know anything about how tracking works or if it will automatically switch the tracking to the new character holding the goods or not. Was just an idea.

A help topic posted at almost the same time as yours mentions that if you don't have a homestead, you can be summoned anywhere and you will die instantly. We even call it 'summon killing'.

AS I understand the mechanic... you have to have a lean too.

I fyou ahve claim... then you can be summoned anywhere on that claim... assuming... you use the pclaim as homestead.

Otherwise an enemy has to be at your lean-too to summon you.

If you have no lean too... it's b/c you have no Captial...and you problem are legion vs this
