Has anyone discovered anything useful when it comes to fighting spiders?

Is there any way to deal with the web thing other than being tough enough to weather the beating they give you when you are helpless?

(Obviously, if you are strong enough to one or two shot them easily you don't need any real tricks, I was just curious about what people weaker than that might do.)

Attracting spider by slingshot, hiding behind the tree/stump/box/etc...,waiting for spider to come in a stomp distance, stunning it and using thrust/uppercot as the most dmg attack

If you can 1shot it with thrust you can also wait for it to be on a favorable course and intercept it with a hit. I don't recommend fighting spiders if you can't 1shot them with thrust or 2-3shot them otherwise. Their HP is so low your biles won't be sufficient to take even 1 web if you can't do the above.
